The new OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro are the first AI phones powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy. As the name suggests, the new energy-efficient chip was custom optimized for its use on OPPO’s latest Reno Series.
The Dimensity 7300-Energy features an octa-core CPU consisting of four Arm Cortex-A78 high performance processors, plus four Cortex-A55 efficiency processors. Built on an advanced 4nm process, Dimensity 7300-Energy delivers enhanced CPU, GPU, and 5G modem performance, offering the kind of top-tier efficiency typically reserved for flagship products. Paired with OPPO’s 80W SUPERVOOCTM Flash Charge technology and a 5,000mAh battery, Reno12 and Reno12 Pro both deliver ultra-long battery life and lightning-fast charging.
Drawing on the power of Dimensity 7300-Energy, OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro introduce a suite of breakthrough Gen-AI features to unleash creativity and heighten productivity across a wide range of everyday uses. Among the features are OPPO’s updated AI Eraser alongside the new AI Clear Face, AI Best Face, AI Studio, AI Toolbox, AI Recording Summary and AI Smart Image Matting.
The two new Reno models also feature a stunning look and ultra-durable build, centered around a Futuristic Fluid Design and High-Strength Alloy Framework. Other highlights of the models include a 6.7-inch, 120Hz OLED display capable of displaying up to 1.07 billion colors, plus a Sony LYT-600 camera sensor featuring full-pixel omnidirectional autofocus and OIS. Reno12 Pro also features a 50MP Telephoto Portrait Camera and a new 50MP Selfie Camera.
The collaboration on the Reno12 Series marks the latest evolution in OPPO and MediaTek’s long-term partnership. Going forward, both sides will continue to work together to deliver enhanced user experiences through a range of products including smartphones, and other IoT products.
OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro are available from June 12.
